This tech talk will provide an introduction to Google TensorFlow Model Optimization, which offers tools to enhance the performance of machine learning models. Additionally, the talk will discuss potential university collaborations with Google, including student researcher positions, internships, and job applications. By the end of the talk, attendees will have a better understanding of the practical applications of TensorFlow Model Optimization and the opportunities to collaborate with Google.


Jiyang Kang is a Technical Program Manager for the Google TensorFlow Model Optimization team, leading the development and delivery of innovative TensorFlow model optimization tools and techniques. Prior to joining Google, Jiyang was the APAC Manager for Amazon’s Machine Learning Solutions Lab, where he helped AWS customers across industries adopt AI technology. Prior to Amazon, Jiyang worked as a software developer and system architect for companies such as Samsung Electronics, where he worked in various industries including semiconductors, networking, and telecommunications. Jiyang earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Seoul National University.
